During the past decade, thanks to the generosity of individuals and organizations alike, the foundation has raised more than $1.4 million and distributed more than $1,000,000 to the police department through grants and contributions to support professional development, equipment purchases, and a variety of other programs. Police Foundation of Colorado Springs relies on support from individuals and organizations to champion the efforts of CSPD and we encourage our neighbors, our businesses, and our community to come alongside to help strengthen and build the community.

Since 2012, Police Foundation of Colorado Springs has provided medical trauma kits to Colorado Springs Police Department patrol officers, sergeants, lieutenants and community service officers. The kits contain potentially life-saving medical supplies that have proven invaluable in a number of crucial incidents when officers had to initiate trauma care before advanced medical care arrived on scene.
Police Foundation of Colorado Springs is pleased to offer these kits for sale to the general public for $150.
Each medical trauma kit contains a tourniquet, hemostatic gauze, emergency trauma dressing, chest seal, EMT shears, trauma pad and two pair of nitrile gloves.
To order your medical trauma kit, you must read and agree to the following liability disclosure:
I am voluntarily purchasing the Medical Trauma Kit (Kit). I understand I am solely responsible for receiving training on proper use of Kit and that Police Foundation of Colorado Springs (PFCS) is not responsible for my training or use of Kit or for the performance of the Kit's contents. I understand the Kit contains medical equipment which is potentially life-saving, and understand use may not stop or may lead to death, or other damage/injury. In exchange for being permitted to purchase Kit I hereby agree to hold harmless, indemnify, remise, release and forever discharge PFCS, its affiliates, subsidiaries, owners, officers, directors, agents, employees and attorneys from and against any and all judgments, actions, claims, suits, losses, damages, and expenses resulting from the use or ownership of Kit whether or not such injury or damage is caused by PFCS's negligence, passive or active, or arising from any other cause.

On November 19, 2022, our City faced evil and tragedy when innocent victims were targeted at Club Q. Our community members came together with Officers of the Colorado Springs Police Department and immediately began providing medical care on scene, which saved many lives that night. Officers were equipped with trauma kits, but they quickly discovered they needed more supplies as many victims needed supplies from more than one kit. To continue to learn from every tragedy our City faces, the Colorado Springs Police Department asked the Police Foundation of Colorado Springs to help increase officers’ access to more lifesaving trauma kits.
The Police Foundation is asking for the community to help by donating to the foundation so an additional 250 medical trauma kits can be made. The goal is to raise $29,000 to create these additional kits. These additional kits will be built into mass trauma bags which will be in every patrol supervisor’s vehicle.
There will be one mass trauma bag in each supervisor’s vehicle. The mass trauma bag will contain 10 separate trauma kits containing the most used items. Each trauma kit contains:
