During the past decade, thanks to the generosity of individuals and organizations alike, the foundation has raised more than $1.4 million and distributed almost $1,000,000 to the police department through grants and contributions to support professional development, equipment purchases, and a variety of other programs. Police Foundation of Colorado Springs relies on support from individuals and organizations to champion the efforts of CSPD and we encourage our neighbors, our businesses, and our community to come alongside to help strengthen and build the community.

Since 2012, Police Foundation of Colorado Springs has provided medical trauma kits to Colorado Springs Police Department patrol officers, sergeants, lieutenants and community service officers. The kits contain potentially life-saving medical supplies that have proven invaluable in a number of crucial incidents when officers had to initiate trauma care before advanced medical care arrived on scene.
Police Foundation of Colorado Springs is pleased to offer these kits for sale to the general public for $125.
Each medical trauma kit contains a tourniquet, hemostatic gauze, emergency trauma dressing, chest seal, EMT shears, trauma pad and two pair of nitrile gloves.
To order your medical trauma kit, you must read and agree to the following liability disclosure:
I am voluntarily purchasing the Medical Trauma Kit (Kit). I understand I am solely responsible for receiving training on proper use of Kit and that Police Foundation of Colorado Springs (PFCS) is not responsible for my training or use of Kit or for the performance of the Kit's contents. I understand the Kit contains medical equipment which is potentially life-saving, and understand use may not stop or may lead to death, or other damage/injury. Police Foundation of Colorado Springs is excited to announce a 2022 fundraising effort for the benefit of former officer Cem Duzel and his fiancée, Layne who are going to be married in August. After sustaining a life threatening injury in the line of duty, undergoing an extensive recovery process, Duzel medically retired from the Colorado Springs Police Department. Officer Duzel was awarded the Purple Heart and Medal of Honor at the 2019 Medal of Valor Luncheon for his courage and heroism in stopping an active threat in a neighborhood before the suspect could harm innocent community members.
Police Foundation of Colorado Springs is creating a fundraising effort to show the couple just how much we, as a community, appreciate his sacrifice. We have come together to help them with the cost of their upcoming wedding and honeymoon. One hundred percent of all donations , whether by mail or on the website, will go to the couple.
For more information about this fundraising effort, please contact Nicole Magic at (719) 577-7094 or by email at info@policefoundationofcoloradosprings.org.
