Tactical Vest Package

Police Foundation of Colorado Springs is committed to raise funds to provide advanced tactical gear to all Colorado Springs Police Department officers. PFCS is working with Shield616, a local nonprofit dedicated to the protection of law enforcement officers nationwide, to provide this potentially lifesaving equipment to more than 400 Colorado Springs police officers who do not have the protective gear. Donors also have the chance to personally sponsor the police officer who receives the equipment. The sponsorship, arranged by Shield616, is intended to create a lasting and supportive relationship between the donor and an officer.

Each tactical vest package costs $1,000 and includes the following equipment:

  • Shield616 vest designed for rapid deployment
  • Ballistic armor plates rated to protect officers against high velocity weapons
  • Ballistic helmet compatible with communication equipment, gas masks and night vision goggles
  • Gas mask pouch
  • Gunshot wound trauma kit
  • Solo monocular
